Superposition is the combination of two or more waves. Superposition of wave functions can satisfy the Schrodinger equation because it is linear differential equation, so ${\psi }_1\&{\psi }_2$ are solutions, then

$$c_1{\psi }_1+c_2{\psi }_2$$

is also a solution.
